The Librarian’s Day 2018 was celebrated on 09th August 2019 2018 on the 126th birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, who is popularly known as “the father of Library Science in India”.

The programme was started with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan and lighting of candle by Director of APIMR Dr. Jitendra Hude, he highligheted some of the important contributions of Dr. S.R. Ranganthan and mentioned his contribution for the developmentof Indian Librarianship and library movement in the country.

On the other hand APIMR Librarian Miss Asmita Patil, conveyed her greetings to all the APIMR remembered the contribution of Dr. S. R. Rangnathan and put emphasis on the green library systm to be adopted for the libraries. She requested all the library users to use library services effectively for their academic and research purposes and career development.
