TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATIONTheme : “Tree Plantation”In India 5th September is celebrated as Teaches Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a Teacher. The celebration was held at Adhalrao Patil Institute of Management & Research. It is considered as "celebration" day, where teachers and students report to college campus but the usual activities and classes are replaced by activities of celebration, thanks and remembrance. Students decorated the college campus with the decorative items like rangoli, ribbons, hanging, balloons and many more on the eve of Teacher’s day. The next day the faculties were welcomed warmly. The students worshipped the idol of Goddess Saraswati. Each of the faculty had a gifted by the tree & wishing them a Happy Teachers Day. ![]() There was saraswati poojan and lightining a lamp and student given the speech on the Teachers day till the lunch break. Any celebration without sweets is not a celebration and students made it sure there was a sweet cake for such a celebration. The event was concluded by the reviews of the teachers and finally it was followed by the cake cutting by the teachers. ![]() After completion of the event everybody went to playground and tree plantation activities carried by all students including the faculty members of APIMR |
